3. DISCUSSION
The location and parking were easy to find. Parking on the side street was moments away from the property.
The staff were friendly; upon arrival they offered me slippers to wear indoors (as people do in Japan and China). Weather-wise it was a warm day, so I asked for and received a bottle of chilled water.
Regarding cleanliness of the facilities, while the room and bathroom were clean and tidy, I was obliged to pass through the kitchen, which was an unmitigated disaster. Unwashed dishes were piled high in the sink and countertops, with remnants of multiple meals past hardened onto the porcelain. This is not the first time I’ve been treated to this scene at this location. On balance, passing through the kitchen suggests cleanliness is not top of mind, even if the boudoir and bathroom were presentable. This justifies the lower score for “facilities at meeting place appear clean and sanitized.”
As described in an earlier review, it’s been my experience that Asians seem able to adapt to higher room temperatures and humidities than Caucasians; for me there’s nothing like killing the mood in a hot and humid bedroom. On this occasion, upon entering the boudoir I noticed that the room was quite warm (for me). Pointing to the unplugged portable air conditioner in the corner and asking if I could turn it on, the service provider, Ada, said no, and that the central air was already running. The slight breeze coming out of the room’s air vent was not enough to cool the room. So much for fanning the flames of passion.
Ada’s biometrics are entirely subjective based on my estimates and biases. I will mention again that in my experience of decades of having lived in east Asia, natives in those countries are rarely able to accurately estimate the age of Caucasians (and I would say the same vice versa). Based on my experience in Asia, I estimate that Ada is 27.
I graded Ada a score of 5 for her time management; I was out within the allotted time, give or take a several hundred nanoseconds. Once she had performed her duty, she was responding to texts on her mobile (which was always within reach during the session); moments later she was tidying things up and preparing herself for the next visitor to the flower garden (who was patiently waiting downstairs).
Ada’s communication skills were good when using Mandarin. Her English skills remain a work in progress, though she was able to quickly find just the right word on her translator app.
She was creative in application of her art, and surprised me by encouraging me to jump in the shower before starting things off, then later, unannounced and without prompting, dove head-first into the the first act (CBJ) of the performance. Ada was the consummate professional, and pushed all the right buttons, knowing what to do, when, and how; that alone would have qualified for a top score.
However experienced and agile in applying her art, I felt that Ada was somewhat more audible in her responses to stimuli than circumstances warranted. It seemed as if I was witnessing an actor that was trying too hard. The score so reflects this aspect of her performance.
For a moment I caught a glimpse of the person behind ‘Ada,’ when I started singing the first few lines of the Shanghai smash hit song “給我一個吻” (Gěi wǒ yī gè wěn; Give Me a Kiss). For a fleeting moment the veneer fell away, as she joined me in the love song a cappella. She was lovely…then was back to business.
On the risible question everyone asks of whether online photos match the Flower, I’d rather not spoil the surprise.
Regarding how I determine “scores” for the experience. I first read through various posts on SA to learn of questions and topics of interest by others on the site when seeking a companion, then added some of my own. Weights are my wholly subjective estimates of ranking of importance, which result in a weighted score. I’m interested to learn what others suggest how to improve this endeavour.
